How to Use RefControl + StumbleUpon For Free Automated Traffic

I am one of those people that spends every free minute trying to find a way to do things easier. By easier, I mean without me having to work.
One of the biggest concerns every webmaster has is driving traffic to his site. Marketers try everything, from blog commenting, to paid reviews, you name it!
But ultimately, all these methods require time and money. As well all know, time is money, so basically we’re throwing away money trying to promote our sites with little or no results. But no matter how many times they fail, they will continue beating the dead horse (or whatever that saying is).
Question is, are there really methods that are free that can bring hundreds of real visitors to your site with absolutely (fine, just a few minutes) work on your part?
Yes, I’m glad to say that there are!
Since this method involves StumbleUpon, please go sign up for an account right now if you don’t have one already. (I’m not even going to ask you to install Firefox since I expect you to have done that a long time ago.)
I’d like to explain how this method works, first. If you ever check out your site tracking tool, you’ll see a little area where you can see where all your visitors came from. This is called a referrer.
For example, let’s say A wrote a great article and B linked to him, when A checks his stats, he’ll see people coming from B’s site, so he’ll go and check it out to see what all the buzz is about.
How can you use this to your advantage? Well, if your site where to appear in thousands of site’s referrers, I believe that you would get quite a bit of traffic.
Here’s how we’re gonna do it:
First you’re going to need to download an autoclicker, just something simple that will click the mouse a certain amount of times each x seconds.
Then you’re going to have to install the RefControl addon for FireFox which lets you control what referrer shows up in site tracking tools when you visit a site.
It’s a pretty simple process to set up, just put in the site you’d like to drive the traffic to and move on to the next step.
Assuming you have the StumbleUpon toolbar installed, you want to position the mouse over the Stumble button and set the autoclicker to work before going to sleep. This way, you’ll be stumbling thousands of sites and appearing in all their logs with your site as their referrer.
Even if you only get a few hundred visitors per week using this method, that’s pretty good considering the fact you didn’t have to do anything.
But be careful, this is not a method you want to mess around with if you care for your reputation. Never try this with an established site of yours or anything that can be traced back to you.
Only do for sites that nobody can trace back to you.
Another idea is to use an affiliate page URL as the referrer instead of just using your site. I think you can take this method to a whole different level with a bit of creativity, just think about it.
