The Secret to Finding the Perfect Posting Schedule

One of the most confusing things all new bloggers face is finding the perfect post schedule.

The main problem with them is that they all start out very enthusiastically, posting up to five times per day. The problem is, after they notice that nobody’s reading or commenting on their content, they simply stop.

Even when they slowly establish themselves in their niche, they still find it difficult to find the perfect posting schedule; many even go the length of thinking about the time they should post.

The secret is pretty simple, actually (and is one I’ve been using for a while now). I find that you should only post again once your first post has reached its Climax.

What on earth does that mean, eh? Well, you see, I like to think of the climax of a post as its tipping point – the time period where it has gotten the most exposure as possible.

For some, that may mean 50 comments and a thousand views, others may have lower expectations. But a general rule you should stick to when first starting out is 5 comments and 50 pageviews. That is probably the best time you should whip up another post and publish it.

Although this is the way I do things, it may not work as well for blogs in certain niches like technology, where events are constantly changing and people would like to stay updated 24/7.

This rule will ensure that both you and your readers will benefit - with you getting as much comments and pageviews as possible, while your readers enjoy your posts without feeling overwhelmed.

  1. Some nice points. I believe posting every 2-3 days is best. I do not like posting daily as I do not have good traffic. If I post daily many nice quality post will be ignored.

  2. I just can’t post more than twice a week…though I wish I could. Between Wife, kids, job, businesses, etc. It is hard to make time for yourself to do things that you love!

  5. Posting frequency is a problem for the regular blogger which they are not able to post every day or decided schedule.
    one more problem is there of relevancy if the title, blog theme.

  8. I see you point but from seo perspective it is better to keep posting. Also posting on a regular schedule will get your blog more visitors.
